About Karin
Karin Immerman is a trainer and "R"-rated USEF judge for Hunters, Hunter Breeding,
Hunt Seat Equitation and Jumpers. She is a life member of the USHJA as well as the
USEF and MHSA (Maryland Horse Shows Association).
She also enjoyed a long and successful career as a rider and A-show competitor. She has trained
many famous ponies and horses. "Wall Street" winner Large Junior Hunter classes at such shows as
Devon Horse Show, and Washington International Horse Show, and AHSA Small Junior Hunter champion
"Magic Man", and AHSA medium pony hunter champion "Golden Gloves". Karin continues working with
top hunters.
These days she judges as many as 30 shows a year all over the country. In addition, Karin spends
time serving the horse community by acting as President of Long
Island High Score Awards (LIHighscore.com), Secretary of the LIPHA (LIPHA.org),
and as a director of the National PHA (PHA.org).
Karin trains a small group of hard working riders who, for the most part, work with young horses
that are being brought along by their owners with Karin working with each of them on the ground.
Karin takes her students to shows starting out at unrated shows held at Hidden Pond Stables in
Manorville, NY. Once riders and horses are ready, they start going out to USEF rated shows such as
the LIPHA shows, the Garden State Horse Show, and the Hampton Classic Horse Show.
Karin offers quality horses and ponies for sale or lease, matching the mount to the prospective
owner. These horses and ponies go on to successful show careers or find success in other disciplines
or just as a good friend. For more information, visit the Sales page.
Having spent my life as a horse show "GYPSY" I am glad to have passed that phase of my life.
These days, while I enjoy showing, it is no longer the only thing that I aim my students towards.
